Wow, it’s been a while since we’ve made a formal update; it feels so good to be back and communicating with you all!

Firstly, thank you for your patience; I’m so grateful for our small community and couldn’t imagine my web3 journey progressing without the support and love from our holders.

I wanted to take a second to reflect on the current state of NFTs, the good, the bad, and the ugly. When we first set out to launch this project, our goal was to create with freedom and give back to our communities. We were overly ambitious; our team of 3 consisted of one expert and two hopeful newbies looking to explore the possibilities of web3. After numerous events and networking, we quickly learned that our “organic marketing plan” was a thing of the past, and word of mouth would no longer suffice. Foolishly blinded by our ambition, we drove forward, attempting to compete with $200k+ marketing budgets and creative agency teams of 20 personnel. Boy, were we surprised.

In the midst of adapting and building YGS, we observed and learned from the current web3 market. We watched as other projects, with full-scale teams, struggled to keep their discords safe, fight fudders and maintain utility in the current bear market. It seems as though, no matter how you execute, someone somewhere will be publicly disappointed.

It sucks to see so many great projects and founders harassed and belittled in the web3 space. That type of ethos is opposite to what web3 is about! However, I’ve learned that the projects with the most success are led by individuals who stay true to their web3 purpose. So here we are, paving the way for people like us to create freely and curate the future of web3.

So what’s next for YGS?

No discord, the complexity of running a discord does not align with our purpose and, honestly, takes way too much time away from the creative process. The security issues alone are problematic and in desperate need of an update. While we wait for Metalink to accept smaller projects, all announcements and updates will be from our Twitter account.

As for the collection, we decided to cap the project at 150 Yellow Giants. We are so happy with our current holders and love the idea of building with a small community. Closing at 150 leaves us with a few Yellow Giants to give away to those we have onboarded into the space, holders, and future partners.

I am grateful for the opportunity to create and be a part of the early web3 days! I’m excited to share what we’ve been working on! To stay up to date, be sure to turn your Twitter notifications on!
